Molar from a young Woolly Mammoth,Young Mammoths were highly vulnerable and many died.
That said, their remains are fragile and very few teeth as small as this are found in river gravel deposits.
Good mostly unworn linear ridges on the exposed side.
This specimen has been placed upon a stand with a base to facilitate display,but can just be lifted off.
From the Pleistocene ,Devensian stage.
Collected from Dredged Off Brown bank, North Sea.
The tooth measures 147mm x 137mm
