Collected from Fiddlers Elbow,Cranham, Gloucester,England.
Very interesting piece of the sea bed.
A section of inferior oolite with a serpulid sociable worm colony
The only reasons for this behaviour, would be a safety in numbers aspect, and an abundant supply of food particles.This species is also referred to as Sarcinella plexus.
The whole specimen has been air abraded and measures 58mm x 64mm.
