Classic cadicone ammonite from the Upper Jurassic, Callovian stage, Kellaways beds
Collected from the Cotswold Waterpark, in Wiltshire, England.
Often referred to as cannonballs,this is almost a ball of solid calcite just beautiful,and has been prepared down to the centre on the display side,and almost to the centre on the other.
The ammonite has been polished and displays stunning suture lines.
This specimen measures a large 87mm x 69mm.
