Enchodus libycus
From the Cretaceous ,Maastrichtian phosphate beds.
Collected from Oued zem ,Morocco.
This tooth is from a predatory ray finned fish ,locally known as the  " Sabre tooth Herring"
The two front teeth were pointing slightly inwards in order to snare prey and keep it secured .
The tooth is loose from matrix and measures 24.3mm and comes in a clear plastic fronted display box.

Please Be advised, the specimen has been attached onto the white tray of the display box, with Blu-tac,removing it from the display case may damage the back of the specimen as it may be fragile!
This has been done to ensure the specimen is safe and secure for display and during transport.
